Colombo is a fabric manufacturer that handles high-quality materials such as cashmere, vicuña, camel, and mink. The production volume of cashmere fabric is the largest in Europe, and is supplied to the world's top brands such as Hermes, Chiton, and Brioni. In Colombo, everything from raw material procurement to final finishing is carried out in-house, and cashmere materials, in particular, are still brushed in the traditional way using natural chisel. At Colombo, we use this extremely time-consuming finishing process, which is done twice: once when the fabric is woven and once after it has been dyed. Nowadays, many factories use metal brushes to brush the wool, but we use an old-fashioned method of brushing that emphasizes texture. Cashmere fabric is rated as the best quality in the world, surpassing Loro Piana and Piacenza.
